Mike and Matt's visit.

Our nephews, Mike and Matt came for visit not long after we had moved here. We loved having them and now that they have wives/wives to be we'd love to have them again. I don't know if the boys enjoyed this hike, but Uncle Dave sure did.

Dad's weekend hike.

Dave went on a week end hike with 7 other guys, last week end. Here's the happy group.

Me on the deck

The decks been painted, flowers have been planted, the rhodies in the yard behind us are terrific and I got my hair cut yesterday. How's that!

For years we have had many photos on our living room wall. They are from many of our trips. We have enjoyed them, but decided to take them down, paint the wall and perhaps do something different. Just thought I'd post a before and after.

Dinner table

Our Sunday school group has a Friendship Dinner each year. Several folks agree to be a host home and then we split the group up and we meet a different homes for dinner. It turns out to be a great evening and wonderful way to get to know a few people really well. Here is my table before the evening began

The Rhodies have been spectacular this year all over town. Spring is great!

Mother's Day gifts.

Polly gave me these cute little vases for Mother's Day and Jacquie and I were both sent home with some flowers from the kids. Here they are together! Dave and I are having some of our church group over for dinner tonight and these little cuties will be the table centerpiece.

The hike

Dad went to Santa Barbara last week end. He and Martha took a hike. The view looks pretty good.

Mother's Day

Instead of boring you with more pictures of Ireland, I'll instead, throw in some photos from Mother's Day. Dad was in Santa Barbara visiting Martha. I spent the day with the other half of the family at Dave and Jolene's. Nice day, good food, good people. Fun.

little more Ireland....

We visited a place called Clonmacnoise, founded in the middle of the 6th century. Many of its buildings are still partially standing. Also many original celtic crosses are still there. This one is inside to help preserve it, as are several others.

We have been cleaning closets, etc and we found this little whirly thing that fit into a little hole that is in the railing of our deck. Some of you know how hard it is to find something to fill that little hole! =)

Saturday Night at Crossroads!

On the first Saturday of each month, Crossroads has "big band" night. It is always a fun time. We met with our friends Dave and Anne and had some dinner before the frivolity.
