All ready for our adventure to Alaska!

Dad and I on the deck, waiting for the Amsterdam to depart Seattle. Needless, to say we were very excited about all the things ahead.

Friends

We took this cruise with our friends Gail and Norm. We had a great time. We are all ex UAL people and have known each other for quite a while. Here they are ready to re board the boat in Juneau.

Juneau

We spent a day in Juneau. Took a tram ride to the top of Mt. Roberts. Beautiful views, a nice movie about the area and of course a gift shop. Dave and his friend Norm took a hike and met Gail and I back at the boat. Juneau is a pretty little town and we had wonderful weather.

Hooray!!

Note the shiny spots behind Dad's ears. New hearing aids! Already we are noticing a terrific difference. We are very excited. We don't have to shout at him!!
Dad got a professional haircut today and doesn't he look nice!? I've been giving him haircuts for several years now, but lately it seems to have become difficult for me. His hair comes in very thick and I don't know how to handle that. Anyway, doesn't he look great?!

Para Sailing

Dad was out pulling some weeds last Sunday, when he looked up and saw two of these guys just floating around in the sky. What your looking for is the white dot in the middle of the blue sky. I'm sure it's a wonderful feeling, but not for me.

Friendship dinner

On Friday evening we had 6 folks over, for dinner, from our Sunday school group. We had a lovely evening. Good food and conversation.
