Oops, I mean I realized.......

I realizrd that.....

Our annual Christmas trip to the city.

Each year we take a bus and go downtown to see the Christmas lights and take part in the festivities. This is a photo taken from the top floor of Pacific Place. There is snow falling on the folks below. Always kind of enchanting for kids.
Each year the Sheraton Hotel has a display of Gingerbread houses. You make a small donation to walk thru and see them all. The money goes to a variety of charities. It's always fun to see imagination at work.
This is a baker's idea of a Gingerbread house!!? Anyway, this one is quite elaborate and the kids in line loved it. Some dragon, huh?

A "few" lights on the bush.

We decided to put some lights on the rhododendron bush at the front of our house. There a about 2000 lights on it. All the lights we had on 3 bushes in Redmond are now on this one.

First snow in our new home.

Last week end we had some snow. It was lovely. It melted right away so we didn't have to think about driving in it.

The Wedding reception.

I can't believe that this is the only photo we have that has a smidgen of the bride or the groom. So I have to be happy with a picture of Mike, his friend and his friend's daughter and the back of Aunt Therese. Tust me Erin and her gown were beautiful.

Trip to the city.

The rehearsal dinner for my nephew's wedding, which is why we're in Chicago, was Friday evening. We spent most of the day just tooling about the city. This is our arrival at the LaSalle St. station. We met Muf and Zach for lunch with our former neighbor Betsy and another friend of Zach's. We ate in Greek town. Fun.
We went to the Art Institute of Chicago on Friday afternoon. Great place

The home we left in Clarendon Hills

We spent four days in the Chicago area last week. We got there on Thursday and visited our old home town that afternoon. This was our little 3 bedroom, yellow brick ranch. Lots of good times there.

Backyard, Clarendon Hills

This bush was just a few little branches when we left 26 years ago. Amazing what a little time will do.

A few photos of the bride to be!

Muf went through a stage where Little House on the Prarie was very important to her. We watched all the TV shows, read all the books, even visited DeSmet So. Dakota. Hence the dress and hat.
