Couple of Grandchildren photos.....

Augie, just up from sleep and ready to greet the new day!

Holly, Rashun and Kaia

A week or so ago, Muf's friends, from Santa Barbarba, were visiting family here in Washington. We got to see them and meet their new baby Kaia. Such a precious little peanut. It's still hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that these two young women used to play kick the can in the street in front of our houses in Redmond.

Dave's extended London stay....

As I mentioned in an earlier blog, after Dave completed his hike, he was stuck in London for an additional 5 days. The first photo is of Dave, his instructor and the rubbing he did at St Martins in the Fields. He really enjoyed doing this and we are now in the process of getting it framed.
The next two photos are of the lovely people who took him in for the entire time he was unable to get home. The second photo is of Frank and his wife, the third is the church Frank pastors. They are truly loving and giving people and made Dave feel at home. He thoroughly enjoyed his stay with them. Thank you Frank and Rhona.

Dad's trip to England

As most of you know, Dave took a trip to England where he hiked across half of the country. He started his trip at the Irish Sea and then walked trails. He had a wonderful time and had wonderful weather. Very unusal, I guess, most of the folks he talked with before he left, told him to expect rain most of the time. He had only one day he could consider marginal. The picture below is supposed to be Robin Hood's grave. He is told by the locals that there are many such places, all considered to be his grave. I would surmise that none of them are actually his grave, but it's fun and makes for good story telling.
The next two pictures are of the country side as he walked along. Lots of sheep and cows.
You're probably also aware, that when he returned to London he couldn't leave for another 5 days, because of the volcano. You know, the one I can't spell or pronounce! More on that with some photos soon.

Lovely English countryside

Lots of sheep and rock walls
