Yesterday at Providence Point

We had quite a bit of snow yesterday and we were stuck up on the hill, so we took a walk. It was very pretty, as usual. Today it's warmer, raining, and windy. Weather is sort of strange. It changes so quickly.

Mt. Baker, blue sky and Snow geese

After lunch we headed home. We went via the LaConnor, Wa. route and saw this field full of Snow geese. What a sight. There were probably thousands of them. They make an interesting sound, sort of like a cocktail party. They are on their way north. Amazing.

Monday's trip

Norma and friends outside the restaurant where we had lunch.

More Monday

After eagle watching, we went to Concrete, Wa. for lunch. We were very grateful, they had 23 hour parking. We were very hungry and didn't want to get a ticket...........

Monday Eagle Watching Trip

Last Monday we joined our friends Phil and Noreen and went to Skagit County to look for eagles and snowgeese and have lunch. It was a successful beautiful day. At one point there were 6 eagles in one tree and across the river there was another. Quite a sight.
This is a scene in the area where we were watching the eagles. The sky so blue and the mountains so white. Such a lovely day.

Monday night snowfall

We awakened Tuesday morning to about two inches of snow. It was very pretty. It did create some problems driving as we are up on a hill and after the snow fell it froze. It's supposed to be in the 40's today, so whatever is left will be gone shortly. This is the view out of our bedroom window.

The Redmond House

The is Kevin the new owner of the house, me and Toby in the kitchen. It is really a drastic change and very nice. The whole house is lighter and much more open. The bedrooms are all pretty much the same, just painted lighter colors. All the doors have been changed. The bath off the hall has been redone and looks wonderful. It was fun to see it and we both agreed, we had a wonderful life there, but we don't miss the house at all. We've all moved on to new chapters of our lives and love the memories, but don't want to go back. Good times.
The frig is where the pantry used to be and there are cabinets where the frig used to be. This counter opens out into the dinning room and living room. It'll be great for entertaining, especially in the summer when the door to the deck can be open and people can easily flow in and out. The kitchen has been set up in such a way that there is a whole lot more counter space.
This is probably the only thing we feel kind of bad about and that is the fact that the cedar over the fireplace is gone.
He did here, what our neighbors did years ago. It really helps to open the room up, but I enjoyed our pictures that were on that wall.
Hey guys, do you recognize the family room? New carpets, window treatment, and light colored paint. Really opens the room up. He plans on putting a pool table in here.
The sliding glass door is gone and is a wonderful improvement.

The bride and groom dancing and checking everything out.

Eating cake!

The cupcake wedding cake was a hit. Thanks to all the bakers and the icer who behind the scenes helped to create this. Also, a big thanks to the folks who created the cupcake tree. So many wonderful folks involved in this.

The Rehearsal Dinner

My brother Bob and I enjoying the festivities, not to the mention the pizza and salad!
Here I am with my former next door neighbor from Illinois, a person we loving call Friendoris, and my sister-in-law Therese. It's such a blessing to have all these people together.
These happy folks are my sister-in-law, Sue, my brother, Fred, and me. It was a wonderful experience to walk into a room and see so many people that I loved.

Friday night before the wedding

Zach took his parents, Dave and I, and Martha of course, out to dinner. It was a wonderful evening, I think it was the last lull before all the festivities began.

Cold Springs Tavern

After an afternoon of skeet shooting for the guys, we all went up to the Cold Springs Tavern for dinner. Lots of good food and fun.

Look who is enjoying the great food at Cold Springs Tavern

The rehearsal

David and Holly "the kids" from the Redmond neighborhood. All lined up and ready to rehearse.
