Advance Activity, Sept 20

We had our monthly Advance Sunday school group activity last week. It was an appetizer/dessert affair with Dave and I showing our pictures from Ireland. It was a very big success. Look at the array of food. So many different choices. No one went away hungry.

Martha's sister-in-law to be was in town and spent Friday night with us. It was great to have you Heather!

A touch of fall

I decided we needed a fall decor, so here is Howie Hoedown. He's ready to greet visitors!

Me on the new bridge

Before meeting everyone for dinner last Thursday night, Dave and I poked around Bellevue for awhile. We walked across the new bridge between Bellevue Place and Lincoln Square. It gives you a new perspective on N.E. 8th and Bellevue Way. The bridge seems to be a little more interesting than the one connecting Lincoln Square and Bell Square.

We all went out to dinner last evening to celebrate the upcoming birthdays of Dalene and Dave, Sr. Here's Dalene sporting the birthday glasses and showing off the HBMW.

A couple of new house photos.

This is part of the kitchen eating area. New bookcase and some pictures hung. We have a new round glass table, but no chairs as yet. We're using folding chairs til I find some I like. The view out of the windown is very nice, very green.

We finally got some photos hung in the dinning room, and the light fixture. The table and chairs are new. One of these days we might actually have some company, if I can get my act together.

Go Huskies

The band playing the Star Spangled Banner and the unfurling of the flag. Always very impressive.

On Saturday we went to the Huskies football game. Was a beautiful day. They played Boise State. This was their section. Their colors are blue and orange. I thought this made a very colorful shot.

We went to a Providence Point new residence coffee on Thursday. This is dad in front of our little garden waiting for our ride. It was a nice affair. Good cookies.

Resting

Dave likes Providence Point and this couch. He and Jolene stopped by yesterday to take our old TV and it's stand for their game room. This is the nap before the heavy lifting. Too bad there is no sound.

The former owner of the house left some wonderful rose bushes. This is just an example. Some of the other plants have orange roses and are spectacular. Hope I can keep them alive. I seem to have a black thumb, when it comes to growing things.

A little excitement

Had a lot of noise and fire trucks, etc., but never found out what the problem was. I think that's probably a good thing. Emergency vehicles get here pretty quick.
